Chapter 6

Lee woke up the next morning with Jinxx still asleep next to her. She chuckled to herself and rolled out of bed, starting on her morning activities.

After her morning activities were over, Lee sat down on the couch, and pulled her phone out, ready to call her doctor’s office to schedule an ultrasound appointment. Just as she was about to call, Lee heard Jinxx walk down the stairs.

“Good morning, my little Pixie,” Jinxx told her as he sat on the couch next to her, “Are you going to call your doctor?”

Lee smiled, “Wherе did that come from, Jinxx? Oh, never mind, yеah, I was about to call. Here to listen?”

Jinxx nodded as he forced out a laugh, “Well, you’re just so short like a little Pixie. And yeah, I was going to listen.”

Lee rolled her eyes as she called her doctor’s office, “Jinxx, can you talk to them? I need a different change of clothes and a shower,” Lee asked as she handed the phone to Jinxx.

Jinxx nodded as Lee got up from the couch, and slowly walked up the stairs.

“Hi. This is Mr. Ferguson calling for my fiancé,” Jinxx began, “She needs to schedule an ultrasound appointment in a couple weeks. That sounds great, thank you.”

After about thirty minutes, Lee finally got out of the shower, with a different change of clothes, and her hair in a neat bun.

“Jinxx, did you schedule an appointment for me?” Lee asked as she began walking down the stairs.

“Yeah, Lee I did. You have one scheduled for not this coming up Thursday, but next Thursday. They also have a new doctor apparently,” Jinxx told her, getting up from the couch to meet Lee at the bottom of the steps.

“Who is it then?” Lee asked as Jinxx’s arms wrapped themselves around her waist.

“I don’t know, Lee. I really didn’t ask about who it was, I just got the appointment for you,” Jinxx replied, gently kissing the side of Lee’s neck.

Lee sighed as she unwrapped herself from Jinxx’s arms, “Then I guess we’ll find out in two weeks then.”

“Yeah. I guess we will. You seem stressed, Lee. Are you okay about the doctor’s appointment?” Jinxx asked, walking Lee and himself over to the couch.

Lee shook her head, “No. I’m not, Jinxx. I’m scared. Like, I have always wanted a child, but right now, I’m not too sure anymore.”

Jinxx gave Lee a gentle hug, “It’s going to be fine, okay? I’ll be here with you every step of the way. I promise you. Don’t worry about your doctor’s appointment. I’m sure your new doctor will be just as nice as your other doctor.”

After a few more hours of reassuring Lee that everything would be fine, Jinxx finally started to make Lee lunch. After Lee finished her lunch, she started worrying about her doctor’s appointment again.

“Lee, you have two weeks until your appointment. Please, for me, stop worrying about it,” Jinxx told her with a heavy sigh.

Lee promised him she would stop stressing about her appointment, and went on about her day.
