Chapter 2

The next morning, Lee got a text from Jinxx saying he was going to be home very soon, and not to worry about the dream. Lee told him she would forget about the dream, and started her morning activities.

“Baby girl I’m home!” Jinxx called as he walked through the door. It took another minute, but Lee emerged from the kitchen, and as soon as she saw Jinxx, she instantly started crying.

Jinxx walked over to her, engulfed her in his arms, and walked her over to the couch. After a fеw minutes of crying in Jinxx’s shoulder, Lee finally looked up at him as wе wiped away her tears.

“Baby girl. What’s wrong?” Jinxx asked, voice sounding scared. When he looked at Lee, he could tell her eyes were fixed on something in the corner of the room.

After staring at the wall for a few seconds, Lee’s eyes flickered to another spot in the room, then another, and another.

“Shit. Not again,” Jinxx muttered. He realized what was happening, but knew he couldn’t help. Jinxx knew Lee was having another panic attack, and he always tried to help, but it was quite difficult.
As Jinxx held Lee in his arms, he tried to think of how to help her through her panic attack.

With a quick idea, he spoke to Lee with a reassuring voice, “I’ll be right back baby girl, I promise.”

Lee attempted to calm down, but she couldn’t help but think maybe her dream would come true, as they did every other time in the past.

A few minutes later, Jinxx returned in freshly changed clothes, and half as much makeup on than he had on before. Lee attempted to sit up, still shaking and crying from her panic attack.

Jinxx walked over to his violin case, grabbed it and sat next to Lee, and asked in a soft voice, “Would you like for me to play my violin to you?”

As he slowly corrected himself with a smile and said, “Excuse me, our violin.”

Lee faintly smiled as she remembered the day she teased Jinxx and said it was her violin, where Jinxx would then reply that it’s their violin.

Lee gently, but shakily, nodded yes, to which Jinxx began playing their violin.

After he played ‘Overture’ for her, Jinxx asked Lee if she was feeling better, to which she replied, “Yes, thank you.”

Jinxx smiled to himself, as he knew that playing the violin always calmed Lee down no matter what.

Lee leaned on Jinxx’s shoulder, and asked him, “Baby, I’m really tired. Can you help me to bed?”

Jinxx nodded and smiled as he picked Lee up and brought her to their bedroom, sitting her down on her side of the bed, he kissed her forehead, and kindly told her to sleep tight.
