Chapter 29

Arriving home, Jayy was nowhere to be found. Lee was taking a nap on the couch, her ‘book’ on the table next to her. Jinxx noticed Lee’s face was a faint red, and from the looks of it, Lee had been crying.

“What is that book?” Jeffree asked quietly, not wanting to wake Lee.

“Her family photo album. Lee never looks at that. I wonder why she brought it out. That album usually stays under our bed,” Jinxx whispered out, hoping Lee wouldn’t wake up.

Silently putting away all the groceries Jinxx bought, Jeffree and Jinxx both crept up the stairs to lay out both Lee and Lilith’s new clothes. Thanking Jeffree for all his help, Jinxx drove Jeffree home, as Jayy wasn’t at Lee’s house. Finally finding Jayy back at his house, Jinxx made sure the boys didn’t need anything before driving home.

After the long drive home, Jinxx found Lee still on the couch, still asleep.

“Right where I left you,” Jinxx whispered out as he moved Lee’s legs over his lap, as Jinxx sat down.

Lee shuffled in her sleep and gently woke up, “Hi baby. W-what t-time is it?” Lee asked with a yawn.

“Hi darling. It’s seven in the evening. You’ve been asleep for hours. Why is your family photo album out?” Jinxx replied, giving Lee a gentle kiss.

“I w-was reliving memories. Our prom picture w-was in here, and I w-wanted t-to s-see it, Lee replied, “You looked s-so handsome in blue.”

Jinxx faintly smiled, “I remember that. You had the prettiest dress on. Now Lee, I know you weren’t looking at our prom picture. Try that answer again,” Jinxx told his wife, hoping she would stop hiding things from him.

Lee sighed, “Fine. I w-was looking at pictures of mom and dad. T-that’s w-what most of the pictures are in here. I miss t-them,” Lee replied as she placed her head on Jinxx’s shoulder.

“See? That wasn’t so hard. Was it, Lee?” Jinxx asked in a soft voice, “You didn’t have to lie to me, baby. I wouldn’t have been mad,” Jinxx whispered in Lee’s ear.

“I’m s-sorry for lying t-to you, honey. Forgive me,” Lee whispered out.

Jinxx wrapped Lee in a hug, “It’s okay. I’m sorry about your parents, baby. Do you need something to help you relax?” Jinxx asked as he placed a kiss on the top of Lee’s head.

“A w-warm bath might help,” Lee replied, “Unless you’re t-thinking of s-something else.”

Jinxx gently smiled, “Let me go run you a bath. After your bath, would you like to try something?” Jinxx asked his wife with a smile on his face.

“Yes!” Lee almost screamed out, “Yes, Jinxx. Please,” Lee replied quietly.

Jinxx chuckled at Lee’s reaction, “Alright baby. Let’s get you upstairs for a bath,” Jinxx replied, gently picking Lee up. Lee smiled and gently wrapped her arms around Jinxx’s neck so she wouldn't fall.

Sitting her down gently on the bed, Jinxx went to go start the water for Lee’s bath. Sighing gently, Lee laid back on the bed, listening to the sounds of the water. Minutes later, Jinxx returned, and gently brought Lee to their bathroom.

“Tell me if the water’s too hot,” Jinxx told Lee. Lee nodded and dipped her index finger in the water.

“It’s fine baby. T-thank you,” Lee replied.

Jinxx nodded and handed Lee a change of clothes, “Alright, babe. Relax, de-stress, and feel better,” Jinxx told his wife as he walked out the door.

Lee smiled gently as she sank in the warm, and inviting water. After Lee’s bath, Lee was feeling tired as ever, and just wanted to sleep. With a sigh, Lee laid down on her bed, and tried for some sleep.
