Chapter 31

One day passed, and Lee’s condition acted like a yo-yo. Jinxx didn’t know if she was getting better or worse. All Jinxx knew was that he needed to get his wife real professional help. Before Jinxx could do anything, he heard Lee call him from their bedroom.

Running from the guest room to the master bedroom, Jinxx found his wife sitting upright in bed, struggling to take simple breaths.

“What’s wrong?” Jinxx asked softly, sitting on the foot of the bed.

“I’m in pain, baby,” Lee groaned out, “Hurts t-to move, hurts t-to breathe, hurts t-to do evеrything,” Lee hissed out, groaning again.

Jinxx sighed, “Would you like mе to try to call your doctor?” Jinxx asked as he handed Lee some more cold medicine.

Lee slowly nodded, “T-there’s a w-website t-that I found on my computer. You can find doctors t-there. T-they might even find out w-what’s w-wrong w-with me,” Lee replied as she handed Jinxx her computer.

Finally finding the website Lee was talking about, Jinxx set up a video conference with one of Lee’s doctors.

After diagnosing the problem, Lee’s doctor pretty much confirmed Jinxx’s suspotions. Lee had a bad head cold mixed with a sinus infection.

“You’re fine, baby. Just keep taking your medicine, and relax. I’m going to take Lilith over to your brother’s house to keep her from getting sick,” Jinxx told his wife as he handed Lee her computer back.

Lee sighed, “Do you have t-to?” Lee quietly asked as she gently placed her computer back on the nightstand.

“I don’t want her getting sick too,” Jinxx reiterated, “Lilith will be fine with Jayy. I promise you, baby,” Jinxx replied, wrapping Lee in a hug.

“W-won’t you get s-sick t-too?” Lee asked as she broke the hug.

“By hugging you? No, babe. The only way I would get sick is if I keep kissing you. I won’t kiss you until you get better,” Jinxx replied with a deep sigh.

Lee faintly smiled, “Alright. Let me call Jayy and let him know you’re t-taking Lilith over t-there,” Lee told her husband as she grabbed her phone.

Jinxx nodded as he went to grab everything Lilith needed so she could stay at Jayy’s. After packing everything up, Jinxx checked to see if Lee called her brother. Lee confirmed that she called Jayy, and he was going to pick Lilith up.

Thirty minutes later, Jayy arrived at his sister’s house, ready to pick up his niece. Jayy knocked on the door, hoping his sister would provide an explanation on why he had to pick Lilith up.

Jinxx opened the door slowly, Lilith in his arms, “Hey, Jayy. If you’re looking for Lee, then she’s sick. Come on in,” Jinxx told Jayy with a warm smile.

“So what is Lee sick with?” Jayy asked as he carefully took Lilith from Jinxx, “And do you mind where Jeffree and I take her? I was supposed to go with Jeffree today so he can get his lip surgery, I was supposed to get my hair recut, redyed, and I was supposed to get some more of my contacts. There’s only one store that sells icy blue contacts,” Jayy added.

“Lee’s got a cold with a sinus infection. To answer your other question, I don’t mind where you take Lilith, just do not take her across state lines. Here’s the items you’ll need for at least a week,” Jinxx replied, handing Jayy a bag.

Jayy smiled, “Alright. And don’t worry, Lilith is in good hands. Jeffree and I will take care of her. And Jinxx? Take care of my sister. I’ll see you pretty soon, and keep me updated,” Jayy added as he began to walk out the door.

Jinxx nodded, and walked Jayy out. Walking back inside, Jinxx went to check to see if Lee needed anything. After getting Lee everything she needed, Jinxx went to go set up their Christmas tree, as Christmas was the next day.
