I barely got this submitted in time, but I don’t think it’s half bad considering I didn’t know about the contest until like a day before it was due in and I waited until an hour before it was to be submitted to write it. #clutch
I’m not a screenwriter or anything, so the format is probably off, but...
Tires SCREECH outside. Dude 2 stands up. There's a small crash outside
Yelling
VOICE: FREEZE!
GUNSHOTS
The Boy and Dude 2 look at each other
The Boy and Dude 2 lock eyes, but then like someone pulled a plug out of a socket, the spark in Dude 2’s eyes is gone. Like his poptarts are done. He slumps to the floor in a red puddle
MORE GUNSHOTS
Tires SCREECH
The Boy slides to the floor and some time passes. He tries to process the fact he just witnessed a person die in front of him…again, and he’s still here, and yet he feels nothing. Nothing is feels different
But...this time was different…he didn’t simply see a man die in front of him, he looked into his eyes and saw his soul leaving his body. Now The Boy feels something. Comfort
Then The Boy feels cold of a sudden, and shudders. He grabs his chest and it feels wet. So he did get hit. The Boy doesn’t have enough time to see how bad it is, he’s knows this is it, and he knows what he must do
He slowly rises to his feet and stumbles out the front door, feeling the effects of shock already setting in. The body of Dude 1 is sprawled in the driveway. The Boy pats him down and retrieves his phone with shaking hands. The tiniest bit bottom corner appears to has been shot off. The Boy smirks. He staggers back into the house, leaning on the wall for support and coughing. He looks at the pool
The Boy belly flops into the pool, holding his phone, which is inside a plastic bag, horizontally. He keeps his eyes locked onto the phones camera. After about 30 seconds he lets it go, and it floats slowly to the opposite side of the pool
