This song was written after one of our dearest friends lost his younger brother in a tragic accident. The feeling of loss, desperation and coping with a situation that is so unexpected and bizarre you don’t know what to do. There’s no manual or map for these kinds of extreme events. You’re in unchar...
[Verse 1]
No one knows just what to say
It's like we're in uncharted territory
No one knows the proper way
It's like the ground has fallen from under me
[Pre-Chorus]
And all sensible words
All sensible hearts
Oh, where do they go?
And why do they leave us now?
[Chorus]
And if I could go back again
I'll go back again
If the worst is happening
How does anything work?
Now let me please go back again
I'll go back again
[Verse 2]
No one knows what part to play
It's like we're in uncharted territory
No one knows another way
It's like all grace in life has parted from me
[Pre-Chorus]
And all sensible words
All sensible souls
Oh, where do they go?
And why do they leave us now?
[Chorus]
And if I could go back again
I'll go back again
If the worst is happening
How does anything work?
Now let me please go back again
I'll go back again
[Bridge]
And all the sensible words
All the sensible hearts
Keep calling for course
A heading or buoy
Could the end be a start?
All sensible souls
Oh, where do they go?
And why do they leave us now?
[Chorus]
And if I could go back again
I'll go back again (I'll go back again, I'll go back again)
If the worst is happening
How does anything work? (Work)
Now let me please go back again
I'll go back again (I'll go back again, I'll go back again)
And if I could go back again
I'll go back again (I'll go back again, I'll go back again)
If the worst is happening
How does anything work? (Work)
Now let me please go back again
I'll go back again (I'll go back again, I'll go back again)
[Outro]
No one knows just what to say
It's like we're in uncharted territory

This is a song about loss. A dear friend of us lost his younger brother in a tragic accident. Never have I experienced something more moving, it fel...
The moment when it was clear that his body was found, the emotion in the room, a lot of young people comforting each other, was so heavy. It was something you’ll never want to experience again, yet so strangely impressive and human.
Getting the feel right for this song was crucial. A ballad has the risk of being sentimental, but because this song derives from real events, we were very focused on getting that genuine emotion across, everybody put their heart and soul into the recording.
