About

‘Chronos’ used to be one jam, before we split them up and created Pt. 1 and Pt. 2. There weren’t a lot of vocals yet, but we really liked the vibe and chord progressions. Chronos, Pt. 1 Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I'm told that I should not have seen it
I know that I could not obey
Demons line up to fade out our colours
All around
There's not a fire that we're not feeding
There's not a bribe that we don't take

[Pre-Chorus]
Leave it undone and take out our mother
In her own home

[Chorus]
Seen from miles away
No one moved
How did we lead it this far when we knew it was dead from the start?
How can we still disregard when we know that we tore it apart?

[Verse 2]
Now the lions are defeated
Now the tyrants are embraced
Demons line up and waves are uncovered
And it is all done

[Chorus]
Seen from miles away
No one moved
How did we lead it this far when we knew it was dead from the start?
How can we still disregard when we know that we tore it apart?
How did we lead it this far when we knew it was dead from the start?
If all we can feed on is bred within greed then I'd rather I starve

What inspired the song?

‘Chronos Part 1’ is about the environment. It’s about the extinction of animals and a very destructive political climate. We had actually never written about this topic before, but since it’s such a massive issue at the moment, we couldn’t think of a better theme to discuss. These were also the last...

What was the process of making the song like?

It was quite cool re-imagine this song, as it started so loud and heavy, and became something quite fragile and basic. We have a tendency to create big walls of sounds, but with this record we tried things a little more focused and simple, to broaden the sonic spectrum.
