[Verse]
That is nobody's fault but mine
That is nobody's fault but mine
If my soul is lost in hell
That's nobody's fault but mine
[Sermon]
Church, we are gon' talk about the new birth. The 3rd chapter of St. John. Words of the text: "Ye must be borned again."
Nicodemus, as ruler of the Jews, a member of the Sanhedrin court council, [?], that met this Lamb of God, like Jesus, was born in the world, slipped off from his crowd one night with a lantern on his arm, come walking under the cover of darkness. "I'm on my way to see the Son of God," and cried, "I'll fool the Son of God by saying 'Good master, I know that Thou art a teacher that come from God, and no man can do the miracles that Thou does, except God be with him.'" Jesus said to him "Marvel not I say unto thee you must be borned again." And Nicodemus did not understand it, he thought that Jesus was speaking about a natural birth [?]. But God was talking about that spiritual birth, my friend, that catches a man in the heart and turns him all the way 'round. He said to him "You must be borned from above." And Nicodemus did not understand it. And God said "I will try you out now by standing you out here. Let the west blow on you, and let the east wind blow on you, and now let the north wind blow on you, and now let the south wind blow on you." And He said "Can you tell from whence it cometh, whence it going." Nicodemus said "No." He said "So, as every man that is borned of God, the dove of God catches him in the heart, my friend, and it turns him all the way 'round."
If you a child of God unsatisfied, you must be borned again, you must be borned [?] his life into the marvelous light of God, I shall be borned again, my friend. I deem that you shall treat your neighbor right in the world. Every sinner in town, let me appeal to you today, that you, you must be borned again. Every poisoned young lady, and every poisoned young man, and every gambler in town, [?] He said you better, you must be borned again, 'cause soon or later God's gonna come back after a while, after this old world, my friend, and if you're not into the church of God, you will be everlasting lost. [Fetch it?] to God, let's put our heart in it, because God, as our [?] judge. Amen [?] and hold your peace.
