Justice Condemned Lyrics

[Transcription in progress]

[Sermon: Rev. James Beard]
Text, Matthew 27:23rd: "What evil hath he done?" This text was spoken by Pilate who was the governor of Jerusalem. And before him was being tried Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And, uh, they had accused Him of being a lawbreaker, and they claimed that this man had trespassed the law of the Roman governor, and by their law, they ought to die. Pilate says to them "Why? What evil hath he done?" They said "Why? He disturbs the whole country. Hе claims that He is the messiah, and bеsides that, He says that He can tear down this [grand city of ours/grand synagogue] and can [rise/raise] up again in three days. And we have been [?], and I don't see why, that He could be able to tear it down and build it again in three days. And by our law, He ought to die." But Jesus, oh, was innocent, and Pilate knew that He was, began to cry "What evil hath he done?"

[Verse 1: Rev. James Beard & Biddleville Quintette]
Oh when the saints (When the saints)
Go marching in (Go marching in)
Oh when the saints go marching in (Go marching in)
Oh Lord, I want to be in that number
Oh when the saints go marching in

[Sermon: Rev. James Beard]
Oh Lordy, [I heard] when the [?] began to prophesize that it's written that somebody would die and give his life as a ransom that the whole world might be able to [?], and Jesus, ooh, has came down, that He might die on the cross for the sins of the world. "Why? What evil has he done? I don't [?] this man of death." Oh Lordy, "Don't see no reason for why he should die."

[Verse 1: Rev. James Beard & Biddleville Quintette]
Oh when the saints (When the saints)
Go marching in (Go marching in)
Oh when the saints go marching in (Go marching in)
Oh Lord, I want to be in that number
Oh when the saints go marching in

[Verse 2: Rev. James Beard & Biddleville Quintette]
Oh when the moon (Oh when the moon)
Drips away in blood (Drips away in blood)
Oh when the moon drips away in blood (Drips away in blood)
Oh Lord, I want to be in that number
Oh when the saints go marching in

Amen (Amen)
