“Say Less” was a popular phrase at the time we wrote this. We thought the phrase was cool enough to be made into a song.
How did the song come together?
I wrote this song with Sam Bergeson & Faren Rachels. Sam played the instrumental initially and it really helped make the connection between the old-school rock vibe and the current time. That’s what we thought was so cool about the song, bringing together the old-school sound with current lyrics...
What was the process of making the song like?
We wrote this song at Sam’s house. Sam just so happens to be Allison Krauss' son so I got to meet her that day which was awesome. Other than that, it was another typical writing session. Faren was kicking ass lyrically that day and really brought the whole idea together.
