“Raining Needles” is the eighteenth song on Screeching Weasel’s debut album. The lyrics were written by David Robinson, who was a friend of the band. The guitar part is very similar to the riff in “Gas Chamber” by the Angry Samoans, who were one of the band’s biggest influences.
[Verse 1]
It's raining needles, stuck in my head
Wish that I'd stayed home in bed
Raining needles, help me guys
In my hands or in my eyes
[Verse 2]
My throat was stabbed, I gurgle blood
Fall on needles in the mud
In my hands or in my shirt
In my body, it fucking hurts
[Outro]
Covered with needles, my blood is red
Really hurts, oh wow, I'm dead
Raining Needles was written by Ben Weasel.
Raining Needles was produced by Screeching Weasel & Phil Bonnet.
Screeching Weasel released Raining Needles on Thu Sep 10 1987.
