Did You See What Dyna Saw?

Colin Buchanan * Track #19 On I Want My Mummy

Did You See What Dyna Saw? Lyrics

[Chorus]
Well, did you see what Dyna saw?
A colossal piece of fossil
We all thinked, "That extinct!"
Nice try, Rannosaurus

[Verse 1]
Triceratops, get the point
C'mon blow your horn
You've tried the rest, now take the test
And Tricera tops

[Chorus]
Well, did you see what Dyna saw?
A colossal piece of fossil
We all thinked, "That extinct!"
Nice try, Rannosaurus

[Verse 2]
Pterodactyl, gotta fly
A reptile or a bird?
Not too smart, but fills my heart
Full of terror... dactyl

[Chorus]
Well, did you see what Dyna saw?
A colossal piece of fossil
We all thinked, "That extinct!"
Nice try, Rannosaurus

[Verse 3]
Brontosaurus, Mister plod
Eats veggies in a bog
We said "Hello", but wouldn't'cha know
I don't think Bronto... saw us

[Chorus]
Did you see what Dyna saw?
A colossal piece of fossil
We all thinked, "That extinct!"
Nice try, Rannosaurus

[Verse 4]
Diplodocus, overweight
With belly quite enormous
Hit her head, and her mother said
"Next time, dip low! ...docus"

[Chorus]
Ah, did you see what Dyna saw?
A colossal piece of fossil
We all thinked, "That extinct!"
Nice try, Rannosaurus

[Verse 5]
Scientist, looked for fossils
Ate a mouldy tin of salmon
He felt sore, and the doctor said "You're
A very pale-entoligist"

[Chorus]
Did you see what Dyna saw?
A colossal piece of fossil
We all thinked, "That extinct!"
Nice try, Rena saw us
We all thinked, "That extinct!"
Nice try, Rannosaurus

[Outro: Announcer, Dr Hans Klutz]
Well there you have it, what a classic album that is; "I Want My Mummy", by Colin Buchanan. Well we have a very special treat for you all now. Unearthed from the recording of "I Want My Mummy", and here now for you exclusively, is a selection of the quiet bits, that's the silent bits, the silence recorded before and after each track. We'll play it for you now but first, it is my very great pleasure to welcome back Professor Hans Klutz and, Dr Klutz, are there any comments you'd like to make about, uh, the silence that, uh, we're about to hear?

*German gibberish* In the pineapple! *Gibberish* All the way! *Gibberish* And send them all the way to the, uh, outer space! Ah, here on platform two, doesn't go to Tempe anymore

Well, always one with the insightful comments. Thank you, Dr Klutz, and here now is the silence for us all to enjoy. This is silence, recorded during the making of "I Want My Mummy."
*Faint electrical buzzing*
I can hear some noises in the background I think... that mustn't be the silence, I think we need to wait and the silence will be there any moment now
*Baby crying*
No, there's still a little bit of noise in the background, and it's uh...
*Cartoon 'boing'* Let's try- let's wait a little longer
*Bubbles* *Applause*
*Bark* *Silence*
I think that might be the silence although I just spoke now, *Telephone ringing and dog barking* so that's not silence, so, um, just while- we're having trouble finding the silence and we don't want to *Bells ringing* leave nothing on this part of the album, so, I wonder if we could, um, do we have some other silence we could play while we're waiting? Yes we, we have one- some now, so, here's some other silence while we wait for the silence. That, we can't find at the moment. So, let's put it on now
*Slide whistle* *Chicken bawking* *Electric guitar* *Smashing* *Car horn* *Clatter* *Horse neighing* No, don- *Rewind noise* I think I've dropped the disk with the silence on it, *Rooster crowing* *Siren* this is not at all... *Disk scratching* *Pigs squealing* Yeah, I can hear a lot of noise... *Explosion* I think we're goin- I think we're going to have to start this again. The uh, noise... it's just... I mean it's like, there's noise, everywhere, *Elephant trumpeting* there's no, really, *Bells chiming* there's no silence at all here, *Squeaking* and just really- I mean, none of, none of this is going to work at all *Cartoon boing* unless we have complete silence *Alarm clock ringing* and I was really wondering- *Motor revving* ...it, it is- oh! Ah... *All sounds continue to increase in volume* *Cat meowing* ...you've, you've been listening to... *Baby crying* *Horse neighing* *Applause*
*Sound effects cut out*
*Phone ringing*
