Bitter Sweet

Maps of places I wish I could be upon my wall
Photos of the friends I never see that I should call
I'm sitting in the basement trying to make sense of it all
All taped and tacked up, to remind me I'm stuck

Letters gone to waste I keep written, never sent
You'll never read those pages, never know the things I meant
All the melodies kept secret, all the songs I left unsung
Out on the tip of my tonguе, the things that I should've done

Wеll I should get myself together
'Cause I've been stuck here way too long
I should try to write more letters and sing more songs, oh

I should get through this cold weather
I should get more things done
I should try to just feel better, or at least have fun, oh

Taking photos down, I'm thinking 'bout that empty space
New ones will come take their place
And it's a bitter sweet taste
