Chapter 9: Ethereal Prison.
Many people suffering from PTSD or the effects of abuse may find themselves on the brink of defeat. Earlier chapters indicated a wanting to end the suffering of loneliness, however, this chapter revisits the desire and envisioning the end.

[Verse 1]
In this ethereal prison I’m in
I begin to see the end
This could be my final year
Visions of my future are unclear
Hope remains in disarray / Head only filled with gray
The people I gave everything to don’t have anything to say
I’m deteriorating / A nobody without a reputable legacy
Flawed throughout my entire body / Inside longing not to feel empty
So lonely / Eyes closing
Steadily declining / Surviving’s not likely
Goodbye please / Reminisce of me fondly
[Chorus]
What will be the start of my next journey
What will guide me / Don't send me to the earth
Let me ride the waves until I've seen the world
Remember me when you smell the shore
Then forget I don’t exist anymore
[Verse 2]
A gathering of strangers
Some connected through blood
Some connected by much
Some connected by what
Are they here by obligation or to pay their respects
Do they have motivation, what can I expect
My own value was based on my usefulness to others
Now that I’m gone I’m worthless
What seeds have I left
What fruit would they bare
Would anyone care or notice they were there
End this quickly and let this burden say bye
To anyone decent enough to grieve and cry
[Chorus]
What will be the start of my next journey
What will guide me / Don't send me to the earth
Let me ride the waves until I've seen the world
Remember me when you smell the shore
Then forget I don’t exist anymore
[Verse 3]
So what’s next?
Maybe I’ll ascend or descend based on my choices
Maybe I’ll be forgiven or maybe I’m hopeless
Maybe I’ll be reborn in the physical form of another
Maybe I’ll be a Human or a different species entire-
Ly or maybe there isn’t a next / This is where it ends
Maybe ashes, fertilizer, or fuel is it and nothing extends
Keep my lies buried / Truth flying in a hurry
Secrets frozen in a flurry / Words unspoken so blurry
I repressed my distress til I was addicted to the tension
Then when I seldom expressed nobody lent attention
Let this dead weight sink, burn, or decompose
Or leave it where it lies for the last chance to be exposed
[Chorus]
What will be the start of my next journey
What will guide me / Don't send me to the earth
Let me ride the waves until I've seen the world
Remember me when you smell the shore
Then forget I don’t exist anymore
