In video games, it is easy to
move on because you can
always go back, the last save
spot still ringing in your ears
after you've died for the 6th
time, the next save spot for
sure after this f$*#*!! boss.
Out here, everything is a dry
heat. Listen, you only get so
many chances at love and I
make sure to waste every
single one. Listen, do you
hear the clanging of the
thousands of abandoned rigs?
What do they tell us, dotting
the landscape like they do?
What do they tell us about
being left? Do you hear the
skags? What are they, if not
howling three-jawed mutants,
calling for love? Someone
once said that where there is
a monster there is a miracle,
but I'm not so sure. Here is
what I know: I loved you I love
you I howled at the door of
you like a three-jawed mutant.
Who am I to know what it
takes to be human? Who am I
to know anything about love?
When will I grow old, or is it
happening already?
