Jesse Dangerously grew up in the bustling metropolis of Halifax, Nova Scotia (a settler on the Kjipuktuk area of occupied Mi'kmaqi) loving rap above all things.
The fixation started with exposure to lighter fare in 1989, grew to include hardcore hip-hop in the early 90s thanks to community radio shows and videos, and persevered through the scintillating refraction into many rap universes as the mainstream and underground, east coast and west coast and beyond, defined themselves in our hearts and minds.
After some time making weird 4-track tapes in his parents' garage, young Jesse found a calling in the independent rap revolution at century’s end. Something has been going on there ever since.
