Two albums in, Atena has already toured large parts of Europe as well as their native Norway.

After modifying their line-up and releasing “Of Giants” in late 2013, they shifted their focus towards playing live. Starting out by intensifying their presence in the local metal scenes
of Eastern-Norway, 2014 would see them co-headline two independent European tours, support Borknagar in Helsinki and have the honor of touring Europe alongside black-metalers “1349” as
special guests.

“Firstborn” and “Viole(n)t”, the two album singles released so far, plus standalone single “Exorcist”, all embody the sound of a band working persistently to showcase some of the
endless possibilities that exist within the genre of heavy music. All three have been given airtime on Norwegian national radio, in addition to “Firstborn"s lyric video making a noteworthy impact
in the online metal community.

Combined with an intense live show that made Vortex(Borknagar/ex-Dimmu Borgir) pick them out to play at Hostile Territory festival, made them finalists in “Wacken Metal Battle” and most importantly
gave them a reputation as a serious live act, their second album and subsequent touring cycle will be one to look out for.

The band has been run entirely off their own efforts, never signed to any label or booking agency since its inception in 2010.
They are now signed to INDIE RECORDINGS.
