“Vertebræ by Vertebræ” uses brass samples from Björk’s previous project, the soundtrack album The Music from Drawing Restraint 9. Björk has stated that she was interested to find out how the sounds from that soundtrack album would sound like in a less ambient or atmospheric soundscape.
