[Intro]
Trouble's the same as, same as
Trouble's the same as mine
[Chorus]
You're all that I need
But we break every time
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine
You're all that I need (Need)
But we break every time (Every time)
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine
[Verse 1]
You hand me love with difficulty
It's in the ringtone when you call me
When we go, it's like tsunami
Running your mouth with that malarkey
Well, let me take the lead in that show
I'm Villanelle to your Sandra Oh
It's only for the drama, I know
Bitter to sweet's the way that we flow
So I play for your reaction
Then you throw your cheap distraction
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah
[Chorus]
You're all that I need
But we break every time (Every time)
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine (Mine)
You're all that I need (Need)
But we break every time (Every time)
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine (Mine)
[Verse 2]
Bass turn up, can't hear what we say
Speakers are talking, maybe we can tolerate
Cut deep when we play
You're at your best when I'm in my worst way
Heat's rising, stay silent
Can we stop trouble-mining?
We act like the wildest
Really, we're the same, don't know why we try to hide it
[Chorus]
You're all that I need (Need)
But we break every time (Every time)
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine (Mine)
You're all that I need (Need)
But we break every time (Every time)
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine (Mine)
[Chorus]
You're all that I need (Need)
But we break every time (Every time)
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine
You're all that I need
But we break every time
Birds of feather fly together
Your trouble's the same as mine
You're all that I need
Every time
Your trouble's the same as mine
[Outro]
Joy, it's Uncle T. And you need to call me 'cause guess what? "I spent two nights in Brixton, one night in K-Town..." Wicked. Ayy, call me, yeah? Alright, enough love

‘Trouble’ is a song about a constant argument with a family member. It got to the point where I realised that fundamentally as much as we could clash, we both wanted to be on each other’s side “your trouble’s the same as mine”. It’s a cliche but we really do hurt the ones we love – it’s because we k...
It was kind of inspired by Prince’s ‘When Doves Cry’. You know, when you love someone, you’re so close to them, but you hurt the ones you love. The syncopation and beats in Bollywood music can sometimes kind of be reminiscent of Caribbean kind of syncopation.
