Sacrifice

I've trusted my own wisdom
But I find now I'm confused
It's that I'm just no wiser
And all I have's been used
Never knew that I would have to
Take a second place
Strip off my pride
And learn to follow as He leads

So, Lord, I sacrifice myself to You
Just like a seed that died
But grew and grew
If dying to myself makes room
For You to then abide
I will gladly stand among the few
Who've chosen to follow You

It's often very difficult
To give up what you prize
But learning how to live will come
When you learn how to die
You must pay the pricе to follow
And be committed
Not just to the promisеs
But all that He demands
