Moonshiner’s Lament

Last night as I lay sleeping
I dreamed a pleasant dream
Dreamed I's on yon mountain side
By some clear, still house stream

My sweetheart come to see me
With money to go away
I woke up brokenhearted
In Fulton County Jail

The revenue officers had caught me
Judge Newman was standing by
