Lonomia Pestilence

The scavengers emerge from the caves with trepidation to observe a new dawn
They wander the empty streets once considered beyond the pale
And make their homes in the husks we left behind
With the balance restored, they lead their young to prosperity
The valleys reverberate with their song and calls
And so they return to a time once lost where they all have a place in the system
The decomposers begin their work to enliven the soils
All of our creations frozen like they were suspended in time
But the Lonomia, a vestige of the hellish chapter
Takes root in the blooming plains
Their sufferers hemorrhaging and collapsing at their touch
With nothing to deter their spread
Their affliction has no motive, they just exist to bring a pestilence
Many are bound to make the same mistakes and they are left to putrefy
The world adapts and continues on its orbit
But there it waits to effectuate more change
