Lonely tree

The sound of the rain against the leaves of the trees is so soothing
Soothing to my ears, but not to my mind
As it takes me to a place where I was once with you
Caught in the rain, we had no cover
So we searched for a tree that we eventually found and ran to
We'd run to it as we were soaked and weighted down by the drench of our clothes
It didn’t matter though, as we were together
We were wet, cold and undеr this lonely tree, but we werе together

We enjoyed the sound of the rain splashing off its leaves
And falling in coherence with the drops from our clothes
It's raining now and I had found cover under this tree
(And I had found cover under this tree)
I'm soaked and cold, drops falling around me but the only difference is you’re not here
You're not with me, so in reality I'm just a lonely, soaked person person underneath a lonely tree
