The Eyes spoke to Owl: "We hear you, old bird!
We'll join you in battle to keep the dark in this world!
Show us this Eagle, we'll teach him to beg!
We'll tear off his wings, his beak and one leg!"
"The second we spare, to watch as he crawls
To ask us for mercy and show just how false
Are the words he's been shrieking. Don't think we don't know!
Now sharpen your feathers, it's time for the show!"
Thus the march started and they went out to war
Against daylight and Eagle and all he stood for
They rose to thе sky and climbed up the trees
Detеrmined to bring their foe to his knees
An old Wolf was watching, with a challenging stare
He thought: "wherever you go, I've already been there"
The scent of a thousand bones that would break
Made the old creature feel both bliss and heartache
Eagle was waiting, ready to fight
He blinded the Eyes with a bright eastern light
Then he came down upon them and cut with his claws
Before the fight started, it came to a pause
The Eyes, they all scattered and Owl was catching her breath
On top of a pine tree as the land was reeking of death
Bodies laid out around her... this battle was lost
But she swore to return and win at any cost
Her whole being cried 'Vengeance!', the night was still young
The vile word 'defeat' would not reach her tongue!
She set out once again to reform her great horde
Just a few more to show who's the lord
Then Owl heard voices, a thousand like one
Chanting together... would they fight the sun?
Maybe they would, she asked to find out:
"Are you my army", she started to shout
"Will you fight the Eagle, and set us all free?
Will you fight the sunrise? Will you fight for me?
What is your mission, your purpose to fly?"
She asked and they answered: "We live as we die!"
