An explosion of feathers and flesh in the sky!
Blood drew the spell of the last battle cry!
Owl fought the great Eagle as they fell to the ground
And Wolf dug his teeth in, what a hideous sound!
No mercy was given and they showed no remorse
As they must eat or be eaten and fight with full force!
Wolf got cut by the Eagle and Owl could tell
That she'd have but this chance so she cut and all fell!
Owl was exhausted and thought her ribcage would burst
But finally the battlе had quenched her blood thirst
Wolf liеd beside her with cuts exposing bare bone
And the wine he was tasting was the blood of his own
The land had been filled with a horrific alarm
As three creatures had clashed and tried to do the most harm
But calmness took them at the border of dawn
When two were dying and third one was gone
Bear watched the long battle between Eagle, Wolf and Owl
And at last they fell silent short of one last weak howl
"I congratulate you Wolf, you found your last stand
You're finally free to leave this cursed land"
"You didn't care to ask why, you only cared how
Can this battle be won... well it's all over now"
The bear wandered on, he had no urge to stay
In the morning dew mist he faded away
Owl lied on top of Eagle's cold body
Herself bleeding out feeling beaten and shoddy
But better than Eagle, for the Eagle was dead
She did as she promised, "I took your damn head."
Owl stood up victorious, not noticing the light
As she waited for some darkness to bring back her night
But night wasn't coming for what has left won't return
The sun was slowly rising and Owl's eyes started to burn
"Wolf!", she cried out, "Wolf please, can't you hear?
We have won but still it's happening! Wolf I'm trembling with fear!
We killed the intruder and we set ourselves free
So then why is it dawn now? Is the world mocking me?"
Wolf couldn't say much for he was drained of all strength
So his last precious words couldn't be of great length
He looked up at the Owl with eyes still holding some might
"I just gave you what you wanted, and you wanted to fight"
"The sun was always to come back and only you would not see
You did it all to have things as you wanted them to be."
Owl stood quiet by Wolf, she couldn't fight his last words
She knew that rarely would wolves be outwitted by birds
They had both fought in vain for the sake to have war
She had finally learned of what comes and came before
He said "Now I must rest for his claws cut me deep"
And Owl answered her friend "It's alright... go to sleep"
