Dear LORD I got some confessions to make, I need to get this off my chest know what I’m saying
This uh real talk
[Verse 1]
Uh this real life you better sit back and then camcord it
I work hard like I’m poor, hungry we gem spotting
My only fear is GOD, I know I’ll die alone
Running up this mountain like it’s milestones
I thank GOD cause I’m innocent, I keep moving like state farm
All inched out with this birth flow, never leaving the hood like I’m Nate Dogg
Who I’m I? I’m just that lil brother from the eastside, with a coast flow so I ride that beat wave, you gonna see that sealine
They like boy you snapping, but you ain’t got an image
Is that really necessary? I just started in this scrimmage
I started freshman JV and you think I should be bossy
Started as a rookie now you think I got that starter beat
[Bridge]
All I wanted was a piece of mind, they were shooting full block away
All I did was just close my eyes, hoping stuff, would now start to pray
I just want to help up the nation, people losing they respiration
LORD I wanna be a living vessel, wanna help these patients and set them free
[Chorus]
We live out like we can’t never make a change, and set us free!
We felt like things would always stay the same, set us free!
These consequences playing with our conscience, set ‘em free!
I needed help too I’m just being honest, and set em free!
Dear LORD I need your peace on myself, set em free!
I need YOU nobody else, set us free!
I need YOU nobody else, set us free!
Dear LORD, LORD come and help us, set us free!
[Verse 2]
What’s wrong about going to school to get your education?
Jump out and go street pill to get your motivation for your inspiration
I was born in this Eastside, but I’ll step in this Westside
Bought hearts and invest minds, say let’s ride with the best vibe
Truth of the matter is we don’t see the purpose of [?]
We just wanna relax and sit in the shade, working on a short that’s like a minute maid
Confrontation, formation, with sort of [?] in the making
Is this the life that we choosing, You think you free but you slaving
This is real life no animated, and no green screen, no cartoons
Straight to the point like using a spare hand or a marpoon
Bodies sounded so obviously this is where I got the faith
We love each other and ourselves don’t let that magnet break
[Bridge]
All I wanted was a piece of mind, they were shooting full block away
All I did was just close my eyes, hoping stuff, would now start to pray
I just want to help up the nation, people losing they respiration
LORD I wanna be a living vessel, wanna help these patients and set them free
[Chorus]
We live out we can’t never make a change, and set us free!
