[Verse 1]
Hey man, what are you doin' tonight?
How ‘bout me and you go for a ride?
[Pre-Chorus]
Said you’d be late
You're barely awake
It's all I can take
[Chorus]
You’re a flake
And I need a, need a break
You're a flake
I don't wanna see you around this place
You're a flake
And I need a, need a break
You're a flake
I'm better off alone anyway
[Verse 2]
Man, just how much shit are you gonna talk?
I know you spent all night in a bathroom stall
I think you're a fake (Flake)
That's okay, this is LA
But we’re not gonna make it after all
[Pre-Chorus]
Said you’d be late
You're barely awake
Give me a break
[Chorus]
You’re a flake
And I need a, need a break
You're a flake
I don't wanna see you around this place
You're a flake
And I need a, need a break
You’re a flake
I'm better off alone anyway
[Instrumental Break]
[Chorus]
You're a flake
And I need a, need a break
You're a flake
I don't wanna see you around this place
You're a flake
And I need a, need a break
You're a flake
I'm better off alone anyway
Flake was written by Ricky Reed & FIDLAR.
Flake was produced by Ricky Reed.
A friend of mine got me to write this song. It was definitely a response to getting bailed on a few times. Just feeling like you put yourself out there, and then a friend bails on you. It became kind of a therapeutic process, where I went through writing the song, and then I came out the other side...
I think a lot of people come to L.A. and fall into a lot of traps or just surround themselves with people who are pretty phony and not genuine. There’s a lot of that, and you’ve gotta be careful. You need to find good people.
