Chamber

As we progress into the center of the temple, this area of The Pyramid is called The Pit of Eidolon. This cavernous room opens up to an enormous chamber, which is the heart of this ancient structure. Among the main circular wall, red and orange embers hiss and sputter as they attempt to flee the glowing torches that hang like ceremonial corpses from the stone walls. In the center on the floor, a circular stone wall about four feet tall rises from the ground. And in the center of this structure lies a giant stone pit. This giant opening in the center of the temple almost feels alive as if it was a mouth that was put here to swallow anything it possibly could for a far more sinister design. Even though other indistinct sounds can be faintly heard coming from everywhere else within the temple, there is nothing but dead silence coming from The Silent Pit. As one would stare down into the impenetrable blackness, only the feeling of doom and dread remain
