Amongst the Graves

Can you hear the death knell?
The land is tainted
With poison’s swell
To these fields infernal
On my knees I crawl
Blood running unto stone
To answer
Necromancy’s call

As you are, so we will be
Worm infested, ridden with disease
Slouching undead carrion, come to me
Every last tomb emptied

Amongst the graves lies the putrid key
The eternal fires, of immortality

Return possessed, as the moon bleeds red
Dwindling into the unceasing dark
Subterranean murmurs
Dead bodies transmuted
Sent on an endless quest for unmolested living flesh

Embalmed, entombed
I summon you
Back from your slumber
Resurrected cadavers
Hear the baying of the beasts
Break through the earth
Welcome to
The unending unliving feast

Casket nailed
Salvation failed
Yet corpses walk
With new birth
