Wildfire Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Could use some peer pressure
A little human error
A change in attitude
You're so well put together
Cold beer in temperate weather
A beach with jungle views

[Pre-Chorus]
And tell me, sugar
Am I close to gettin’ close?
Is there somethin' I need to know?
Pull the trigger
And pull me back from the edge
Pull me out of my head

[Chorus]
She is wildfire
She is wildfire
She is wildfire
Oh

[Verse 2]
I could live in here forever
A place beyond the pleasure
A place beyond the high
This cake wears a new icin'
I can feel the GABA risin’

[Pre-Chorus]
And tell me, sugar
Am I close to gettin' close?
Is there somethin' I need to know?
Pull the trigger
And pull me back from the edge
Pull me out of my head

[Chorus]
She is wildfire
She is wildfire
She is wildfire
Oh

[Instrumental Break]

[Chorus]
She is wildfire
She is wildfire
She is wildfire
Oh

[Outro]
Could live in here forever
A place beyond the pleasure
A place beyond the high (She is wildfire)
Let's go back to the '60s
Find a drug to fix me
And now I see that she is wildfire

What have the artists said about the song?

After the idea of having brass and trumpet on ‘Ready for the High’, we were always searching for which of the songs we could slap some of those on, and ‘Wildfire’ was a prime candidate for that. It just made it more David Byrne-y.
