You Me At Six
You Me At Six
You Me At Six
You Me At Six
[Verse 1]
And they can dig you a grave next to me
You're like tidal wave of ecstasy
Fact or fiction? You give me something to believe in
You are my religion with the sweet disposition, oh
[Pre-Chorus]
See, there's no one like you
Who finds a way to pull me through
When I'm at rock bottom
I got nothing left to lose
When self-doubt creeps in
You make me feel stronger
It's the company I'm keeping
It makes me feel this way
[Chorus]
It's August 7th
I'm second-guessing if I'm second best
And I've been missing
Missing the voicenotes you were sending
Put my name on
Your skin as if this was permanent, yeah
I'll be slipping, slipping through your fingers like a bad decision
[Verse 2]
And they can dig you a grave next to me
In the afterlife, you'll be all I need
You gave me something to believe in, you're my best decision
I hold my breath when you're leaving
I feel like I'm dreaming, oh
[Pre-Chorus]
See, there's no one like you
Who finds a way to pull me through
When I'm at rock bottom
I got nothing left to lose
When self-doubt creeps in
You make me feel stronger
It's the company I'm keeping
It makes me feel this way
[Chorus]
It's August 7th
Second-guessing if I'm second best
And I've been missing
Missing the voicenotes you were sending
Put my name on
Your skin as if this was permanent, yeah
I'll be slipping, slipping through your fingers like a bad decision
[Instrumental Break]
[Chorus]
It's August 7th
Second-guessing if I'm second place
And I've been missing
Missing the voicenotes you were sending
Put my name on
Your skin as if this was permanent, yeah
I be slipping
Slipping for your fingers like a bad decision

I jammed out an idea and a riff and presented it to the guys. I was really inspired by hearing the last Tyler, The Creator record, IGOR. I didn’t want it to become a rock song; I want it to have some feel, to embody some of that hip-hop sound and some of that groove.
The thing that we spoke about quite a lot was how none of us wanted to have things come across too “rock,” we didn’t want it to be like middle-of-the-road rock music. It had to be rock that was tasteful, and that we could move into this new era of rock music, which is something that excites us to be...
