In the valley of vampires, palm trees and bungalows
Ginormous boob monsters in drop-top convertibles
I wish that I could do something
To crown him the king of everything
That once was
But now is gone

I only see him at four in the morning
By the 7-11, smoking prescription warnings
Telling me his day will come
Telling me his drink will come
Telling me the rain will come
And wash his dreams upstream
