Tipping Point Annotated

Fifteen miles above the ground
Shots roaring with fire
Catch a light
Soar to the rocks
Smouldering piercings into the depths
I won’t lie I thought that was the plane to fly
Once I’m on I’ll see Alzheimer’s in time
Blind to a lot, how the heights make it bitter
Eyes darting around the wreckage
Tears all for the show
Selfish to bone
Little is there empathy for any sympathy
Done with the blame for the crash
No excuses the rear view made it look closer
Now on the better things

Heads back down, keep the engine running
Never to make that mistake twice
Good intentions start the motors again
Too look away and too miss it
To gather the supply’s for the fall
By then its spring for a feast
Not better, just different now
Always swinging for the skyline
Never settling for any less
Oil flows into the mixture
Only a few more drops into the pot
To reach the tipping point
