[Voice out of the off]
I've watched prairies spring to life
The little critters with delight
Awake their babes and to them make
A promise that sun will rise
I've watched the prairie turn to gold
It's wheat now tall and lank and grown
Dance and sway in playful youth
With merry toward all yet to unfold
I've watched this prairie set to rest
The red and purple blending west
Awake the sky for one last time
Taking none and giving best
I've watched the prairie fill with snow
Inhabitants dig down below
All peace beneath the still and slow
Until we meet again, I know
Until we meet again, I know
Until we meet again, I know
Until we meet again
I know
