Some days are better than others
At times I wish I could live my life from under these covers
Go the rest of my days never figuring out your puzzle
Because there we certain lines that we never connected to one another
And I can tell you ain't want nobody to blow your cover
So you did it to yourself hoping no one ever discovered
Until they found your body and boy I find it ironic
That you chose to free yourself now everybody got to suffer
Now we're living a life none of us think we can handle
And now I see that watching mommy die was just a sample
Of the darkness in the family ain't talking to [?]
Cause I never thought your remark was as terrible as it can be
But you was smart as a whip none of that slave shit
Went underground for freedom but now you working that grave shift
Many can't relate, was it destined or was it fate
Or was it all part of the plan to make me step up to the plate
And I'm gonna knock it out the park, might even see a spark
Cause I've been swinging with a bat that's about as heavy as my heart
You never gave me time to give a little advice
You should've taken a second instead of taking your life
Hiding in plain sight was living life behind a cloak
And only your sister noticed she could hear it when you spoke
And since you always wanted to help her open a salon
You left her 40,000 dollars but her heart was still broke
Her daughter's father figure when he left you stepped in
Wanted to give her a better example of men
But fell too deep in your thoughts where you just can't swim
And gave up now she looking at you just like him
That's about as real as it gets and I would kill for a switch
Shit cause this the kind of cut you can't heal with a stitch
It's too deep
About 100 people at your service
Most with the same blood but only family on the surface
And I wonder if they feel like me
We come together for death and not for any other purpose
And I ain't about to let your name die
That's why I made this album, this'll be your rebirth kid
I need to tell your story to someone losing their balance
Looking over the ledge and second guessing their value
Let 'em know there ain't a dollar price of what your worth is
As long as we are on Earth we are all serving a purpose
But a lot of times we don't know just what that is
Driving through this life sometimes we lose the will to live
Look at your soul and take a second to search it
I need you to understand the gift that you were birthed with
And I've been acting out like I rehearsed it
Was even popping molly thinking that shit could reverse this
I'm in the wrong place looking for the answers
Like why did I get this fucked up family that I've been cursed with
But it can only get better from here
And so I wrote this letter in fear
That if I lose my way and needed someone to steer
That you would grab the wheel and say I got it from here
You let me know that everybody got a limit
I can't wait to have a dream and see you in it
And I'm sure that I'm going to see you in a minute
But I just wish you could've heard this before you did it
