The Last Guardian, an immensely hyped and anticipated title scheduled for the PS3 and PS4, has been cancelled today.

It was revealed at E3 2009. Many are now left wondering why such an anticipated title would be cancelled. One can assume it's due to the executive producer and then Team ICO's founder abandoning the game.

Sony will make an official comment some time soon, so stay tuned.

[UPDATE] It turns out this was simply a rumour, facilitated by major news outlets, namely IGN. It was started by a Russian outlet called GMBox.
