Made my way down to the garden
To pick myself a flower maybe two
Slyly slipped right through the cracks to grab myself some sassafras
And run back home to the blues

When I got home well I got high as hell
Found myself entranced in a magic spell
The world was at my fingertips I knew I best not let it slip
Away so easily

See I got confused that new might be better
And that somehow I could control the weather
Took a look in my telescope couldn’t find a single ounce of hope
Down this pipeline

Bridge
We all start tumbling down
Like a rock from a boulder, like one in the crowd
So scream your voice and scream it proud
Oh I know that sound
And I know you’re around
And I know that you’re down

Made my way back to that garden
Grabbed my favorite packet of seeds
Decided it was finally time to get on my hands and knees
So I’d do as the working man please
