“Take Me Back” sounds like it’s about a person but it’s really about a place. Calina wrote this song based on her heart break caused by leaving Saudi Arabia. “Once you leave, you can’t ever go back because Saudi Arabia doesn’t issue visas for tourist travel”
Oh no, I guess this is the end
Of a beautiful hello
And even though
I know I have to go
I hate how it feels so
So wrong
So, I’ll play along while I don’t belong
Having you in the background
But you’re running around
Will I see you again?
Or should I keep pretending
While I hope I could live in my memories
Without really knowing if they were just dreams
Please tell me where you've been
I miss our life of "sin"
I’m lost and
I’m trying
To move on
Yet i can’t
I want to believe that
I’ll feel your fire again
I’m lost and
I’m trying
To see through the madness
I want to believe that
I’ll feel your fire again
So, take me back
Co come, take me back
I want to have
My head in the clouds
While I keep my feet on the ground
The thing is I can’t see
The way gets so hazy
Now, I just, I want to be found
But, I’ll play along while I don’t belong
Having you in the background
While you’re running around
Will I see you again?
Or should I keep pretending
While I hope I could live in my memories
Without really knowing if they were just dreams
Please tell me where you've been
I miss our life of "sin"
I’m lost and
I’m trying
To move on
Yet i can’t
I want to believe that
I’ll feel your fire again
I’m lost and
I’m trying
To see through the madness
I want to believe that
I’ll feel your fire again
So, take me back
Co come, take me back
I had to go
But It was never my intention
Cause even now
I still see you in my reflection
I’m lost and
I’m trying
To move on
Yet i can’t
I want to believe that
I’ll feel your fire again
I’m lost and
I’m trying
To see through the madness
I want to believe that
I’ll feel your fire again
