[Chorus]
Treat me like you give a fuck about me now
If I ever let up, will you hold it down? (Down)
Ask me if I'm good, I'll answer, "I'm okay" (Okay)
Wear a face, you'll never know, oh
[Verse 1]
What is it you're missing? Had no pot to piss in
Had no one to listen, shoulda known
Got makeup on your pillow 'cause daddy didn't love you
Pity party, guess you're better off alone
[Pre-Chorus]
We all need somebody else
Guess I need somebody to
Get me through the nights with you
Come on in, don't get too close, yeah
[Chorus]
Treat me like you give a fuck about me now (Now)
If I ever let up, will you hold it down? (Down)
Ask me if I'm good, I'll answer, "I'm okay" (Okay)
Wear a face, you'll never know, oh
[Verse 2]
I've been swimming in a pool of money
I keep drowning in false hope
I keep swimming in a pool of phony
People I don't even know
[Pre-Chorus]
We all need somebody else
Guess I need somebody to
Get me through the nights with you
Come on in, don't get too close, yeah
[Chorus]
Treat me like you give a fuck about me now (Now)
If I ever let up, will you hold it down? (Down)
Ask me if I'm good, I'll answer, "I'm okay" (Okay)
Wear a face, you'll never know, oh

When I wrote that, I was kind of feeling pretty angsty, which I think shows in the song. I was in this moment where I felt, like, alone…and that no one really gave a fuck about what I was trying to do. So I said, “Alright, I’ll do it myself,” and I wrote that lyric, “Treat me like you give a fuck ab...
