About

This is a song about a friend of Alan and Mimi’s who had a pirate radio station in Duluth called “Starfire,” which he ran out of the back of an ambulance.
According to kranky co-founder, Bruce Adams, that friend also was a travelling nanny for Alan and Mimi’s daughter Hollis.

Starfire Lyrics

We'll call it Starfire, who will know?
I want a station of my own

I have the tools
I have my rule

I'll load the back and you can drive
Broken bodies all the time

Let's take a ride
Starfire tonight

Ten thousand miles away
Away
