George Alan Sparhawk is an American musician/singer-songwriter. His main source of fame is from the Minnesotan band Low, formed in 1993 and still currently active. Sparhawk is the frontman of blues rock band Black Eyed Snakes formed in 1999, releasing their most current album in 2008. Sparhawk and fellow Low bandmate Steve Garrington are also members of indie rock band Retribution Gospel Choir. As a solo artist, Sparhawk has released an album titled Solo Guitar,which was released in 2006. In 2014 Sparhawk produced an album named Bashful Creatures with indie rock band Hippo Campus.
Sparhawk currently lives with wife and Low bandmate Mimi Parker in Duluth, Minnesota with their two children.
