I lived a dream that fell apart in my pride
On the day that it happened large a part of me died
Took a lonely walk outside cried and cursed the heavens
Drowned my pain with a 40 outside of 7 eleven
Didn’t tell my brethren, inside I kept it hidden

Spitting venom, tangled web spinning, in plain sight sinning
Mad villain, killing myself to be a manmade star
Overdosed on fame didn’t mean to take it that far
Permanent scar on my memory of what I did to me
Forced my will against what god wanted me to be

Is locked in a safety deposit box I lost the key too
Thought it was all on me to overcome my evils
Running to broken people asking them to lift me up
Got a shot of whisky in a dixie cup pick me up stuck
Knee deep in shame wallowing in pain
Did it all in vain, didn’t call his name

Saturday to Friday it was self-worship no tithing
Blinding, the light God shined on me

Before laying your face on the ground balling
