A cover of the song from Tim Smith’s solo album as a tribute from former bandmate Drake. Album proceeds went to the funding of care for Smith, who had suffered a stroke, leaving him majorly near-paralyzed. The song is a conventional cover until the final round, a sentimental addition by Drake.
Time left in my mind for savouring all
Over the wall, savour my life, savour my feed
Savour all of my beasts, life's for keeps
'till I'm over the wall, over and done
Stripped to my tongue, leaving my beasts
Over the wall
Over all of the all and all
Wishing my well being
Though I'll only die when every car's an empty thing
And nothing's left, not even in
Bag filled with hope and my beasts
It crossed my hand
I've broken my things so what happens now?
Only hope it don't register on my own mind
And it seems that I've caught my hand
Oh no (oh no, oh no)
Done seeing without sight
It's reason alright
Forwarding cases of angst onto the floor
With all the things we ask for
Flies volunteering to take my weight and
Hold me to the nighttime sky
There's my mum, no need to cry
Bag filled with hope and my beasts
It crossed my hand
Savour (savour my life savour my feed)
All of my beasts (savour)
Life's for keeps [x3]
