“Sartorius” is a cinematic, ominous anthem about an everlasting rain.
It was one of the songs written during the Felt Mountain Tour to pad out the setlist, since the duo only had one album with nine songs.
[Verse 1]
Armed with the kisses and money in their hands
Those girls on their heels sound like horses to me
Army is waiting to conquer the sundown
Blazes, the rain and the sun is at war
[Verse 2]
You open up the spiderweb and die
Your waking me, this urgency you hide
[Verse 3]
Wind is a cycle that blows through the ocean
Blowing the rag giving birth to your dreams
Waiting but it's holding me down to this star
You were always the one to adore
[Interlude 1]
You open up this spiderweb and die
You twist his words theres no sense to his verbs
[Chorus]
It's been raining for years
It's been raining for years
[Interlude 2]
Your waking me, this urgency you hide
Your everytime I wake you see me hide
[Bridge]
Just don't trick me
Just don't trick me
Just don't stop here
Just don't stop here
Just don't...
Just don't...
[Chorus]
It's been raining for years
It's been raining for years
[Chorus]
It's been raining for years
It's been raining for years
