She was an accountant
At Exxon

And we met at a gathering
And she was my girlfriend

And we stayed overnight together
And went driving through flowers

But she got catastrophic
About something I said
One night over a bottle of wine

And things were never the same
It was sad but over

And I walked the streets
And joined an aerobics class

And ran up and down
With my new aerobics shoes
And gymnastic costume

But eventually I found myself
And saw her at the car wash
But didn't say anything
What was the use?
