Lord, I'm back in this much too familiar place again
Would you uproot the bad fruit and take away my sin

From doing these things that don't bring glory upon your name

Help me remember the way we were before sin took its toll

When Christ, who has died and made alive, now resides in me

I wanna glorify You with all of my body
Help me to flee from sin and compromise with nobody
Help me to flee when it seems like there's no hope
The way that Joseph did from Potiphar's wife and left back his cloak

Even for Paul, and it seems so appalling

And just a little later ran into Romans 8
When he was telling all the saints that there's no condemnation
For the law of the spirit of life has set us free in Christ Jesus
Which means that the Father's now pleased when He sees us
But it's such a struggle at times just to believe this
Without applying my faith to Your grace and receive it
What? Are my sins bigger than what Christ did?
So I somehow require further sacrifices? Nah
I must have been tripping with foolish ambition
'Cause I don't wanna sin but when I do, Your grace is sufficient, Lord
If You was faithful to save me, then You'll sustain me
And I'm thankful that Your love for Your sons is unwavering
