Zae da Blacksmith, born Jose Cañas in El Salvador, is a Christian rapper (currently on Christcentric) from Philadelphia known for his collaboration with Lamp Mode artists Timothy Brindle and Stephen the Levite, particularly in their hip-hop supergroup The Collective. Zae grew up in Miami and became a Christian in 2002 while lost in “a life of promiscuity, drugs, alcohol & problems with the law,” according to a Facebook bio. He began to take his faith seriously in 2006 and has been involved in CHH since around 2010.
