Paul E. Dangerously had been “fired” as a commentator. However, he still had his manager’s license and set out to destroy WCW. At WCW Halloween Havoc 91, The WCW Halloween Phantom had squashed Tom Zenk. After the match, Paul E. began a promo about destroying WCW as Madusa unmasked the Phantom....
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY: "The man behind this mask is the only man that can crush the hopes of the little Stingers until a man stands over the remnants of his career and says, 'Ashes to ashes and dust to dust!' Rest in peace, Stinger, your career is over! Ladies and gentlemen, the next United States Heavyweight Champion, RAVISHING RICK RUDE!"
(Madusa finishes removing Rude's mask and his music plays. Rude takes the mic from a shocked Eric Bischoff).
RAVISHING RICK RUDE: "That's right, people, it's Ravishing Rick Rude. And anyone who knows Ravishing Rick Rude, knows that all I care about is my self, my women (turns to Madusa) and my money (turns to Paul E.) It just so happens that my money man has a problem with the World Championship Committee, and the way he sees fit to solve this problem is to dismantle the WCW brick by brick. What better way, Mr. Dangerously, to start off than with a lowlife scumbag like Sting? You know, Mr. Dangerously, a couple of questions come to my mind. Being that I've never had the opportunity to stand face to face with the Stinger, I'm kinda wondering if he's really as small as he looks on television. I'm kinda wondering if he's the lowlife garbage-collecting scumbag that he portrays on TV. Well Sting, your days are numbered! I'm gonna tear apart the WCW and I'm gonna take your WCW United States Title!
“Rest in peace, Stinger, your career is over!” was produced by WCW.
