This song was originally written by Injected’s Danny Grady for that band’s second album, The Truth About You, released officially on June 2, 2017 (though Monday was part of the demos unofficially released on January 1, 2006). He gave it to Upside to re-work for this album.
So, come on, darling, won't you smile for me?
It's only normal, we've, had, such a good time, tonight
So, come on, darling, drinks are all on me
You feel it fading fast, we were never meant to last
'Cause on Monday, there'll be hell to pay, for me
You know, Monday, is gonna be here anyway, so live it up while we're free
So, come on, darling, can't you look at me?
I know you're somewhere else, you're lying to yourself
So, crack a smile, and stay a while with me
You feel it fading fast, we wеre never mеant to last
'Cause on Monday, there'll be hell to pay, for me
You know, Monday, ain't so far away
You know, Monday, is gonna be here anyway, we should live it up while we're free
Like the song, we sang it over, it was always over too soon (x2)
So, come on, darling, won't you smile for me?
You feel it fading fast, we were never meant to last
'Cause on Monday, there'll be hell to pay, for me
You know, Monday, is gonna be here anyway, we should live it up while we're free
You know, Monday, ain't so far away
You know, Monday, is gonna be here anyway, we should live it up while we're, free
