This song was originally written by Injected’s Danny Grady for that band’s second album, The Truth About You, released officially on June 2, 2017 (though Daylight was part of the demos unofficially released on January 1, 2006). He gave it to Upside to re-work for this album.
Take one hit, slip off your tongue
Say goodbye to everyone
Can't you see, it's just begun
You and me, we're not the same, we're traveling on this road today
All the same, I'm glad you came
When I come back, for you, I will, dirty, perfect, thrill
Daylight, crashes through the window, I can barely hear you say, we're all okay
Daylight, such a perfect violence, leaves me stunned in silent scream, we're not what they say
You takе one look, and then you go
Your jet-black mirror, sing our song, ovеr and again, 'till dawn
I meet you where I said I'd wait, I'm not the kind, to hesitate
But it feels like something, feels like fate
When I come back for you, I will, dirty, perfect, thrill
Daylight, crashes through the window, I can barely hear you say, we're all okay
Daylight, such a perfect violence, leaves me stunned in silent scream, we're not what they say (x2)
Daylight, daylight, daylight (x2)
Daylight was written by Sid Goldsmith & Ben Mosier & Owen Setter & Rob Hocking.
Daylight was produced by Danny Grady.
